Have you ever left the Thanksgiving table feeling like the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka? Missed out on a day of vacation because of a hangover? Felt bloated and grumpy after indulging?

We often think of holidays or vacations in black or white. Either going ALL OUT or not enjoying ourselves at all.

But I would argue that the sweet spot lies in the middle. In indulging mindfully, so you have a great Thanksgiving meal, but aren't still STUFFED 8 hours later. Having some drinks on vacation, but still feeling great the day after.

Today guest Crystal Koch and I will talk about our recent trip to Nashville, and how we balanced fried chicken and cookies and drinks and all the rest.

Topics:

Balance and enjoying life.

"you're not a garbage can."

Scarcity mindset and enjoying food.

"I don't think having more would have made my evening any better."

Knowing your food limitations

"And when it comes to fries, I'll eat them all if they're in front of me."

Goals and mindset during holidays/vacations.

People-pleasing tendency and and saying no to food.

"But no one's gonna say, oh, you should feel bad. Please, please eat this so you can feel like crap."
