In their first episode of Being: In Practice, co-hosts Erin Davis, LCSW (they/them) and Dani Dwyer Willingham (they/she) introduce themselves! They are a queer, non-binary, neurodivergent therapist and coach duo inviting listeners to join them on a journey exploring the practice of bravely being from an intuitive, trauma-informed lens. They begin by sharing how they met, and how they got to the place of producing this podcast in only a few months of knowing each other through sharing aligned values and discernment. Dani then shares some of their journey to becoming a quantum somatic coach, divorced single parent and co-parent, non-binary queer person, and healing into a version of themself that they truly love. This is followed by Erin sharing their path of being adopted as a baby, navigating through religious indoctrination into queerness, becoming a licensed clinical social worker with a speciality in integration therapy, and embracing (and living) a new vision for their life. They also both address still being in the process of self-discovery, and having been in recovery from abuse dynamics, disordered eating, complex trauma, and more. This is a one-off personal deep-dive that allows listeners to get to know Erin and Dani at a more intimate level, establishing a foundation for the diverse topical episodes to come. Welcome to Being: In Practice!
