Paul has chaired and served on several not-for-profit boards, including a City of Toronto agency / community centre. In 2019, the Governor General in Council appointed Paul to the Judicial Advisory Committee for the GTA. The Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, Canadian Business Magazine, the Ontario Bar Association, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers have recognized him for professional excellence and community leadership.
