Description

In today’s podcast we step back to last week’s successful Back to School Supply Drive and read the expressions of gratitude from teachers, school administration, parents, and community members. Thank you again to Watonga Economic Development Director Kim Jenkins and Watonga City Manager Karrie Beth Little and the City of Watonga team members for executing this amazing community outreach. A special thank you to the local businesses and individuals that supported this effort for our 800 Watonga school students. #BetterTogetherWatonga Karrie Beth also spoke about driving safety now that students are back in school! Please obey all traffic rules around school zones and account for pedestrians. She outlined traffic awareness per ODOT, one-lane traffic on HWY 281 and HWY33 from west bridge all the way to Laing Street, until construction is completed, and to avoid areas of W. 3rd Street and N. Weigle Ave. during August and September due to construction. We also talk about this weeks upcoming events: Tues the 15th City Council at 6p, Thurs. 17th Community Coffee 9a hosted at Watonga Nutrition (visit City of Watonga Website for further details), this Friday 17th- Sunday 19th Blaine County fair-board is hosting The Blaine County Fair (visit Blaine County OSU Extension for more info) and this Saturday Aug. 18th Tractor Supply of Watonga is hosting a Farmers Market (visit Tractor Supply for further details.)
