On this episode Jody Rowe and Richard Hockney chatted to Richard Turner: renowned Australian Entrepreneur, Leader, and Innovator. Richard has founded four successful companies/organizations across four different industry sectors and has been recognized with numerous awards including being named Australian Entrepreneur of the Year for the Cleantech sector in 2010, South Australian Entrepreneur of the Year for two of his companies 14 years apart, and having his most recent venture, ZEN Energy, recognized as the fastest growing company in South Australia for 2010-2011 and the 4th fastest growing company in Australia in 2012.

Richard is passionate about sustainability and helping companies that are driving change for the better, adding value to future generations. He is a specialist in reinvention and industry disruption, having put a lifetime of learnings in starting and scaling successful businesses into his book "The Essential Entrepreneur," which was released globally by Wiley Publishing in November 2022.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Richard founded the Entrepreneurs' Organisation in South Australia in 1998 and was Entrepreneur in Residence for the University of South Australia from 2019 to 2021, mentoring hundreds of early-stage and scaling businesses. He currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the Premier's Climate Change Council and is a board member for various organizations.
