I have been a fan of Anjunabeats since I discovered Above & Beyond in 2012, and from there found different types of trance music. Nowadays, I still like some of the Anjunabeats music but I definitely stray toward the Anjunadeep side now. If I'm not listening to deep/progressive house, I'm listening to techno or uplifting/tech trance.
I was always known as the person at parties who would the aux cord and play my music. It's hard to compare that feeling of someone showing a positive reaction to a song you show them.
I started DJing in June 2018 after my buddy Cody showed me the basics. I bought my first controller (DDJ-400) and for the first 6 months, there was rarely a day that went by where I didn't touch that controller. I now own an XDJ-Rx2 and have played multiple clubs in San Francisco including 1015 Folsom, Mezzanine and Public Works. I also played on Goldroom's High Seas Festival in July. While I don't produce music, that is the next step for me.
