In this episode, we discuss with Micael Thompson the recent Conservative leadership race in Canada. Micael is currently an executive assistant to the office of The Chief Government Whip at Queens Park. He formerly served as a committee adviser to the Government House Leaders Office. ⁣We go through the candidates and highlight the surprises of the night, such as the strong performance by the first Black woman to run for the conservative leadership: Leslyn Lewis. ⁣

Furthermore, we touch on the current conservative base and the role Erin O’Toole will have to play as the new leader in preparing his party for an election and expanding the base. ⁣
