Welcome back to Squad Depth with Theo Lloyd-Hughes.
This week, we caught up with Bianca St. Georges. The defender turned winger who plays for the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL.
St. Georges opened up about riding high after the Windy City club recently was taken over by a new owner Laura Ricketts. That big shift in the direction of the team also coincided with a big 2-0 win over the Washington Spirit where Bianca scored the opening goal.
Born and raised in Quebec, Canada, Bianca has been involved in the senior Canadian national team over the past half-decade and during her youth career before that.
She opened up about missing out on the 2023 World Cup squad and why she's embracing failure as an important part of life.
However, after strong performances in the NWSL over the summer, Bianca was recalled onto the Canada squad a few days before this interview was recorded.
I hope you enjoy this heartfelt conversation.
