Hey Team.

So this is a concept that I've mentioned a few times on other podcasts I have been on. In short its a simple tool I use to help individuals I work with understand two things. Number one, we need to establish what's most important now and laser in our focus on that, often these things aren't pretty or sexy but they lead to the bigger more rewarding accomplishments, but sometimes it leads to the notion that our current goals may not be in our best interests.

This is all to help manage one important variable: Motivation. All too often people fall off the bandwagon, one of the biggest problems I face as a coach. This mindset shift allows us to focus on what's important and what's going to be most impactful in the hear and now, allowing us to achieve those small wins and take us onto bigger and better things.

Theres another important point to this ramble. In the fitness industry our sole purpose is to make people physically and mentally fitter people. All too often aiming for goals that have been forged by other peoples opinions and marketing campaigns can force us to go to extreme lengths to achieve these goals, negatively impacting our health and breeding insecurities like wildfire.

This method aims to help us carve our own path, focussing on what's important for us, not to fulfil social pressures and norms.
