On today's episode of The Lax Lounge, we sit down and talk with current Malvern Prep stud and Georgetown commit Jake Bickel! Jake gives us insight into his career growing up playing lacrosse and being involved in the first wave of youth travel lacrosse teams. We then look at his high school career earning back-to-back Inter-Ac championships in his first two years. He also talks about his experience on September 1st and why he chose Georgetown. Growing in confidence as a sophomore and playing with the pressure of being defending champions, filling the gaps of graduating leadership and facing adversity early in the season, Fridge talks about a similar identity crisis his team faced when he was a senior captain, making a run late in the year and winning back to back Inter-Ac titles, getting a small break between spring ball and summer ball, going through the summer circuit and the support he had from his coaches 53:50-1:11.56
Jake goes through what it was like on September 1st to be contacted by some of the best coaches in the country, going on visits to schools throughout September and narrowing down his list, his decision to commit to Georgetown and how it felt to make the call 1:11.56-1:23.50
