I know things might seem hard right now…
Maybe the winter blues are hitting, you hate the holidays, you’re just in a funk or you’re busy AF and feel like there’s not enough time for anything. I get it, trust me! I’m going through shit too, but here’s the thing 👇🏼
If you continue to make everyone else a priority before yourself, you’re going to continue feeling burnt out AF girlie pop 🫣
“you cannot pour from an empty cup”
Translation: in order for us to effectively take care of others, we must first take care of ourselves 👏🏼👏🏼
You might think that making yourself a priority is selfish, but I promise you it’s not.
Self-care allows us to maintain balance and continue functioning like a well-oiled machine that increases our ability to help care for others.
You wouldn’t expect your car to run continuously for 5,000 miles without stopping for gas or having its oil changed, right? 🚗
Same concept applies to you! If you’re constantly running on E, you’re not going to function properly — which means you can’t show up 100% in other aspects of your life. 🪫
Self care isn’t just bubble baths and skincare, although that’s very much needed sometimes.
I’m talking about doing the things you keep putting off that you know will better your quality of life: getting some movement in, daily devotional, eating breakfast, scheduling the doctors appointment, planning out your day, prioritizing sleep, journaling.
Yes, it’s hard prioritizing yourself — but it’s a lot harder constantly feeling tired and burnt out 🫠
I’m challenging you to start prioritizing yourself! If you need someone to talk to, my DM's are always open 🫶🏼
