2. Displayed in asking God for a miracle. (12-14)
3. Displayed in encouraging the troops. (19; see also 1:10-15)
4. Displayed in completing the mission God gave him. (6-7, 40; see also Exodus 23:27-33; Deuteronomy 7:1-2; 20:16-18)

Do we have a big God?

1. Do I stay in touch with God? (7-9, 12)
2. Do I expect and accept God doing great things, including the impossible and miraculous? (8-14)
3. Do I follow God faithfully? (6-7, 9-14, 29-42)
