Description

In this episode of Latinas Talkin’ Therapy, we get real about something that seems small but runs deep—compliments. Why does it feel uncomfortable to receive one? Why do we hesitate to give them? We explore how many of us grew up in environments where affirming words were rare, where humility was expected, and where comparison often replaced encouragement.

We unpack the cultural roots of this dynamic, the impact it has on our self-worth, and how the feeling of not being “enough” shows up in our lives. Most importantly, we talk about how practicing self-compassion can open the door to grace—for ourselves and others—and help us learn to celebrate each other out loud.

It’s time we unlearn the silence and start giving ourselves and our hermanas the love we deserve. 💜
