Description

Welcome to Part 2 of our Halloween Series (and oh gosh it's Friday the 13th)!

Sometime in the mid-1980s, a young man booked a room on the top floor of the Cecil Hotel for $14 a night. Each night he would go out, and when he returned he was always either wearing only underwear or was completely naked. At the time, his behavior didn’t alert anyone in the hotel, because it was considered normal amidst the kind of chaos the Cecil attracted. People likely believed this man was a junkie, especially considering that corpses regularly appeared in the alleys near the hotel, or even within the hotel itself, and it was always assumed they were junkies as well. The man who came home to his hotel room each night, naked, after dumping his bloody clothes in the dumpster outside, didn’t stick out at all. He had found the perfect place to hide in plain sight, while he built up his reputation as The Night Stalker.
