In the early morning of October 13th, 1974, at around 6 AM, Bruce Perry heard a knock at the door of his home on Stanford University’s campus. He had been frantically awaiting news of where his young wife, Arlis Perry, may have been when she didn’t come home the night before. He opened the door to find police, and they were shocked to see Bruce on the other end of the threshold, covered in blood.
