Zafar lives by the mantra ‘Service Before Self’ and this mindset led him to his passion of sales, recruiting and relationship building. It allows him to be a servant leader to others, helping people change their lives and finding their own passions. He has been involved with multiple startups and VCs in Texas. He has over 25 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, business development, marketing, event planning and technical recruiting. He has held leadership and management positions at various staffing companies throughout the years and has worked as an in-house talent scout for Amazon/AWS, Microsoft/Azure, AMD, Canonical and others. Currently, he is working in Client Services at SOAL Technologies, building strategic deals and partnerships and offering a one-stop solution for all short-term and long-term staffing needs.
Zafar has been a long-time native of Austin, Texas where he lives with his wife and three kids. Outside of work, Zafar loves outdoor activities, especially paintball, hiking, camping and skydiving. He ran a youth group for at-risk teenagers for 20 years and volunteers his time with Habitat for Humanity, Capital Area Food Bank, United Way, Coats for Kids and other community service programs to help mentor young people.
