This week:
1) Senior and Junior Youth on on a Saturday night were working away for the upcoming Youth Minsitry Retreat.
At present there are about 50 youth singed up. This is amazing but it can and should go higher if that “one young person" stands up and out and says “I’m going” and then their friends will follow. Be that 1 who stands up and out and bring your friends.
You will be with like minded peers, your friends and you’ll meet new ones; you will have good food to eat, you will hear great sharing, testimonies and you’ll learn about Jesus and what he can do in your live if you let him.
2) Altar Servers - we have a whole bunch of Grade 2’s desiring to serve at the altar. This is wonderful! And a couple of weeks ago a Grade 12 student (I’ll leave you unnamed) started serving because his friend encouraged him! The power of friendship and being an engaged disciple!
The Altar Server Camp that will take place in August - there are about 50 boys signed up at this time. This is the largest number of young people we’ve ever had!
3) Remember the Senior Youth are getting ready to head to Portugal for the World Youth Day - 24 from our parish. This is a life-changing opportunity for these young people. Pray for them!
