Description

Welcome back! This week we dive into the topic of ourselves in the field. Say-do correspondence, or doing what you say, is a crucial skill in building trust and rapport with those we work with. Unfortunately, we do not have stellar say-do correspondence within our practice. We know the values of behavior analysis on increasing the behaviors we would like to see, decreasing behaviors we do not want, and the ability to affect change in the systems we operate under. Still, when viewing our approaches in the workplace and the classroom, our practices and values are not displayed. In this episode, our cohosts will tact some examples of this disconnect across different settings. Further, we provide suggestions on how to model the behavior-analytic practice we preach.
