Cindy Lee is the brainchild of musician and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Flegel. Flegel first rose to acclaim as a member of the Canadian psychedelic noise rock band Women. They later went on to create sonically adventurous records under the Cindy Lee banner. Their sound frequently shapeshifts from classic '60s baroque pop to violent noise rock, with heartfelt lyrics that traverse themes of alienation, heartbreak, and gender identity. In 2020 their fourth album, What's Tonight to Eternity, was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize.
