In this episode, I chat with Ian Pritchard, who is a harpsichordist, organist, and musicologist recognized for his expertise in early music and historical keyboard performance. He has appeared with leading ensembles such as the Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performing under conductors including Christopher Hogwood and Nicholas McGegan. A Fulbright Scholar and prize-winning performer, Mr. Pritchard holds a PhD in musicology from the University of Southern California and serves on the faculty of the Colburn School Conservatory of Music. His research explores Renaissance and Baroque keyboard music, improvisation, and historical performance practice.
