In this episode, I chat with Professor Massimo Ossi. Professor Ossi is a professor of musicology and director of the Center for the History of Music Theory and Literature at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. His research focuses on early seventeenth-century Italian music theory, aesthetics, and lyric poetry. He has published in notable journals and is the author of Divining the Oracle: Aspects of Monteverdi's Seconda Prattica. Professor Ossi has received awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities and other prestigious organizations for his contributions to music scholarship.
