The BIG 5-0! Brian is still trying to make up a viable story to convince Dom that he's not a cop... and he's struggling. His story is pretty awful... but he is just coming out of an unconscious state... so Dom is probably giving him some leeway. Basically it comes down to Brian saying he can't lose again, so he's gonna check everyones garage...... wow. Good luck Brian!
