I interviewed Kim Sorrelle. Kim is an Entrepreneur, author, speaker, World Changer, director of a humanitarian organization. Kim's journey is one of the most compelling, dealing with issues such as the suicide of her mother, crippling seizures with two of her children, breast cancer, the death of her beloved husband also from cancer, and the death of her father. Yet she stands strong, displaying the power of the human spirit. Kim wanted to know the secret and power that is true love, so she dedicated a life-changing year to
discovering the true meaning of love then wrote a book about it, LOVE IS.
Kim describes that book as the nitty-gritty, sometimes scary, many times funny experiences that led me to the answers she searched for. The stories are from Haiti, where she spent most of the year, a place where love is challenging abundant, and contagious. There is no manual, no Love For Dummies; we learn from our parents, and other people in our lives, and not everything we learn is right. What she learned translates into business, parenting, political divides, and family
relationships and can change the world. I encourage everyone to buy a copy or several copies of her book and give them as gifts.
Today Kim writes stories from her heart, sharing her experiences in life, in love, and her passion for serving, her work has her splitting time between her home in Michigan and the places Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Kim loves to travel anywhere and meet new people everywhere. As a young child, she would conjure up stories with her imagination, sharing them with anyone who would listen. The thrill of language and creation she first discovered as a child has never gone away. Kim believes that her eleven grandkids are the bomb and will someday solve issues like social injustice, food insecurity, and sock-eating
dryers.
