My interview with Renee Jones

I interviewed Renee Jones. Renee is an author, TEDx Speaker, a coach. blogger, and speaker. Renee has spent 40 years on Diet Yo-Yo before she got free of emotional eating, which helped her not only lose the pounds but maintain her goal weight since 2012. She redirected her practice to coach others to do the same. Renee has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a clinical residency in Pastoral Care. Her TEDx Talk on Emotional Eating has over 500,000 views and continues to grow, her book was an Amazon best-seller, and her clients span six continents.

Renee stated that as a coach and speaker, people often come to her when they have HAD IT with the latest quick fix -- whether that be diet or relationships. Oftentimes, they think the solution is buying another program, book, or magic pill. The truth is, they need to find what's driving them to something outside themselves for comfort or stress relief. Whether it's stress eating that creates weight issues, self-worth (that we think we surely ought to have sorted out by now), or relationships, healing comes down to finding what drives the behavior and facing it, healing our hearts. When we face our stuff, we no longer need to stuff our faces or drain our pocketbooks.
