I interviewed Steven Lawrence. Steven is the founder and director of The One-Pointed Mind (OPM) system, a teacher and therapist in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, and now the U.S. He has a bachelor's in Social Studies, a master's in Technology Integration in Education and is currently completing the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Saybrook University with a focus on Transpersonalism and meditative practice as treatment. Prior to becoming a teacher, Steve was introduced to meditation by Leonard Perlmutter and the American Meditation Institute in Upstate New York. Once a teacher it was clear to him how meditative practices belong in education; Steve immediately set out to share these ideas with his students and colleagues. Since then, The OPM workshops have grown to include a range of topics shared in teaching workshops in seven countries and thirteen schools. OPM is soon to be releasing a corporate training package. Steven is now retired from the classroom setting and focusing full-time on OPM and his therapy practice.
