Tehreek-e-Labaik's anti-France protest last month in Pakistan killed ten people, including four police officers. This month, Pakistan has lifted the ban on the Islamic militant group. TLP was outlawed last year after its protests demanding the expulsion of France's ambassador to Pakistan. The Islamic group did not like Emanuel Macron's defense of blaspheming as part of free speech and his efforts to reinforce secularism in France. Pakistan's government also set free hundreds of imprisoned TLP militants last month. Shaan Taseer joins us to unpack all of this and what it means for Pakistan's future.
