In this episode, our guest shares intimate details about his experience with sexual abuse and suicide ideation. If this is a sensitive topic for you, please consider this before listening.
In this episode, we talk to Patrick Monson. He describes himself as mindful, stubborn (as a means to survive) and a storyteller. Patrick lives in the US.
Patrick tells us about his traumatic experiences with sexual abuse that led him to the darkest corners of his life’s journey. While navigating life with trauma, negative self-talk, and disorientation, he reached a point where he couldn’t hold everything in any longer… and then things began to change. Patrick describes his healing journey of self discovery, determination, and leaning into “not knowing”. Tune in to hear what Patrick means when he says “I was living a double life”.

His elementary school teacher, Danette Krueger, who had a big impact on the first part of his journey and self-belief.
Genevieve Harris-Eckel https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/genevieve-harris-eckel-gig-harbor-wa/916025 I'm very experienced working with minority communities including working with women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ clients. Minority groups, and couples, particularly those at the intersections of gender, race, and sexual orientation, are often underrepresented in fields of work such as business, tech, and entrepreneurship. I believe therapy should be a safe and non-judgmental space that empowers individuals to be able to push their own limits and views of themselves, in all aspects of their personal and professional lives. https://sentiencepsychotherapy.com
