In this episode, we talk to Jaymes Buckman. He describes himself as weird, queer, neurodivergent and a sparkly poet. Jaymes lives in Canada.
Jaymes tells us about sitting on a comma with his mind/body connection. Jaymes describes living with autism and being unable to interpret his body’s signals. This led to overusing his strengths and pushing himself past his body’s natural boundaries. While learning to follow a plan for building physical strength and capability, Jaymes experienced an improvement in his mindset and personal beliefs. This led him on a journey of discovery, testing boundaries, and experimenting with new skills and experiences. Tune in to hear what Jaymes means when he says “don’t focus only on mastery”.

Then I’ll give it up to my mother, Patricia Shaw, for always supporting me in all my life’s paths, even the ones she doesn’t understand.
And my boyfriend, Tobias, for not only being the person I’ve dreamed of all my life, but going beyond that to help me in ways I never thought to ask for.
