In this episode, we talk to Lee Crompton. He is a survivor, writer and connects people with mental health experiences. Lee lives in the United Kingdom.
Lee tells us about getting off a comma with a rare form of thyroid cancer. After being diagnosed suddenly during the pandemic, Lee made a quick decision to pursue a surgery that may have saved his life. While going through treatment he was not expected to survive, he describes being put into Pandora’s box and facing his own mortality. After surviving beyond the doctors’ prognoses, Lee finds new purpose and catharsis in podcasting with others who have experienced similar life experiences. Tune in to hear what Lee means when he says “it was a difficult washing machine to be in”.
