School’s almost out for the summer! Even if you have some summer camps or travel plans on the calendar to keep your kids busy, there’s a lot of time left to fill with activities. In this episode, we’re sharing our best tips for keeping fun at the forefront while helping your kids learn new things and practice skills over the summer. Plus, some tried and true travel tips to keep your summer trips fun, educational, and hassle-free.

Don’t go the whole summer without reading! There are so many ways to make reading fun for your kids. Try reading in a different location like a tent in the living room, or act out parts of the book together like you’re putting on a play!
Practicing math skills over the summer is important too. Cook up a recipe together with special attention on measuring ingredients, or incorporate counting coins into an activity or incentive system.
If you’re traveling this summer, participate in activities and foods specific to where you’re traveling. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages that come with living in that city. If you’re not traveling, explore your hometown together!
