*Trigger warning: Talk of childhood abuse

Matthew Simpson achieved what many would call the “American Dream,” owning a successful business, a house, and a fancy car. However, his life felt empty and devoid of hope. He had it all, but he felt stuck. To the outside world he was the cool dude in a suit, but beneath the surface he was struggling with substance abuse and navigating a brutal existence marked by constant fear, worry, indecision, and mistrust in himself, and others.

From one day to the next, he left everything behind & embarked on a journey of self-discovery. During this process, he found a way to heal his trauma, overcome his anxiety, he left the world of business, and embraced the role of an ambassador dedicated to addressing the U.S. war veteran suicide epidemic. His book, "Worth a Fight," chronicles this profound transformation and today he donnates the proceeds from his book to support U.S. war veterans in their ongoing struggles.

Join me on this episode where Matt openly shares his journey, a narrative healing from pain and trauma.

He left everything behind and went in search of himself. In the process he discovered a way to overcome his constant fight-or flight and decided to leave that the world of business and embrace the role of an ambassador devoted to tackling the U.S. war veteran suicide epidemic instead.  He wrote "Worth a Fight," and donates the proceeds from his book to support U.S. war veterans in their ongoing struggles.
