Episode two starts off with my introduction to the Coast Guard and, simultaneously, the harsh realities of military life. As a 19 year old Seaman, I was young and impressionable. My first 6 months in the Coast Guard were wild and chaotic. Like many people in my situation I got in a little bit of trouble and was put on notice. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this also made me a prime target for sexual assault.
