Janur Yasa was selected as TOP CNN HERO for his work on cleaning Bali from plastic. His initiative Plastic X Change allowed local people during pandemic to exchange plastic they collect for rice. Some of the villages in Bali do not throw out any plastic and are completely clean. Janur tackled plastic pollution in Bali in a completely innovative way!
For this work Janur was selected as Top 10 CNN Hero.
Once the pandemic was over, Janur decided to go further and focus on other types of trash.
