Welcome back to The Switch, where Eric and I wrap up our three-part series on creativity at Jujuice. After exploring Organized Creativity and Intentional Creativity, we’re discussing the Social Side of Creativity in this episode. We dive into the expectations behind our creations and how engaging with others sparks our creativity.
Switch-it-up Steps:
- Expect and Accept: When you create, you might expect feedback or engagement, but it’s okay if it doesn’t come. Remember, "You can't deposit likes in the bank." Focus on creating value, not just gathering likes.
- 1000 True Fans Theory: We discuss the concept of needing only 1000 true fans to potentially make $100,000—based on each fan spending $100 on your products. It's about quality connections, not just quantity.
- Navigate the Social Ballroom: Think of social media as a grand ballroom where everyone shares their ideas. It’s important not only to showcase your work but also to engage actively with others’ creations. Everyone is just screaming look at me look at me, switch it up.
- Push for Originality: In a world where it's easy to fall into the trap of imitating others, strive to maintain your originality. Being influenced is inevitable, but copying shouldn't be your end game.
