Meet Mary Higginbotham, the executive director of GOod Works!
Responding to God's Word to help the poor and those in need, GOoD Works, established in 2002, is a local ministry that works with and for families in the greater Chapin, Little Mountain, Irmo and Prosperity areas. GOoD Works primary focus is to improve the living conditions of the less fortunate.
Help may be provided in a variety of ways. Many of our projects involve structural repairs, improving access to the home by providing a ramp, steps or railing, repairing bathrooms and kitchens and providing water wells and septic systems.
GOoD Works relies on the support of volunteers to carry out its mission and ministry and welcomes you to our ministry.

GOoD Works strives to improve the living conditions of the people in the community in which we serve.
GOoD Works procures labor, material and equipment, when repairs or improvements are needed to homes, but cannot be made by the homeowner due to financial or physical difficulties.
GOoD Works mission is based on unconditional love towards everyone.
GOoD Works would not be able to to respond to God's word to help the poor and those in need without the support of individuals and organizations within our community. We rely on volunteers that donate their time to help our clients in need and our generous financial contributors.

GOoD Works relies on volunteers to carry out our mission. The following is a brief description of the areas in which you can make a contribution and a difference.
On a Project:
Construction/Repair – Volunteers with a wide range of skills and skill levels (tradesmen, skilled amateurs and eager helpers) are required to complete our projects.
Visiting - Volunteers are needed to visit our clients. Praying with them, checking on them, and spending time with our neighbors is so important!
In the Office:
General Office – Volunteers are needed for general office duties including answering the telephone, greeting visitors, handling correspondence and mailings.
