Description

Sylvia Bruner is the Director of the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo, Wyoming. You’ve never heard of Jim Gatchell? Me either. But once you learn his story and why there is a museum with his name on it, you’ll be blown away. Our country has a complex history with individual stories of the people that bring color to those black and white photos we come across every now and then. Sylvia Bruner helps us see that people like Jim Gatchell have an important story to tell - and so does she.

Sylvia is a self-proclaimed history buff and has been working in the history field since 2000. She’s been at the museum since 2003 and has seen her career grow over her long tenure to Director of the Museum. Sylvia and I talk about leading through crisis, celebrating exceptionality, and continuously learning how to be your authentic self and hold compassion for others.
