There’s a lot of snowboarders in the world, a bunch of them professionals, inside this pro bubble you can find various styles, disciplines, goals and personalities but what you don’t find a lot of is the ability to mesh key elements of your personality into your snowboarding career without risking being laughed at, bullied, discriminated and even losing sponsors if you don’t make this an art form. Ethan Morgan is a great example of lunacy, sarcasm and irony that meets some real talent, technique and elite level snowboarding that the industry has seen only a handful of times.
In this chat we go through Ethan’s experience through the pandemic, from barely making it out in time before lockdown in a tiny valley in Europe, to his first sled days in Canada up to the editing of the award winning as the worst release of a snowboard movie ever, The Freeman Show.
We touch also on the actual situation of snowboarding, Olympics, social media, and how we need events that touch on the roots of snowboarding.
As I always manage to do with this podcast, I caught Ethan on a pretty cool stage in his life, a newfound look on yoga, health and some pretty on point projects coming his way on 2021, including a broader look into his music and some of the nastiest rumors of snowboarding like the AK lines, yes, not the ones you think.
Please join us for a pretty nice, mellow and cool chat with almost Olympian, talented musician, and exceptional snowboarder Ethan Morgan.
