4. Accomplishments
- Winter storm response: Executive staff mobilized to ensure families had heat
- Wood delivered to elderly in Nageezi, Counselor, Ojo Encino, Huerfano, and Torreon areas
- Navajo Forestry Department assisted elders and grandchildren in Fort Defiance area
- Iyanbito Senior Center received new pellet stove to keep elders warm while HVAC contract is processed
- Signed MOU with North Path Transmission for regional infrastructure project crossing Navajo Nation lands in New Mexico
- MOU establishes framework for planning, consultation, route identification, environmental and cultural resource protection
- Affirms Navajo Nation sovereign authority; all decisions follow Navajo law and governmental processes
- North Path developed by Invenergy and New Mexico Renewable Energy Transmission Authority (RETA)
- Signed three Mutual Aid Agreements reinforcing law enforcement coordination with Hopi Law Enforcement, Navajo County Sheriff's Office, and Coconino County Sheriff's Office
- Agreements ensure stronger coordination, faster response times, and seamless cooperation during emergencies
- $300,000 grant agreement with Navajo Townsite Community Development Corporation (NTCDC) to remove burned housing units in Navajo
- Phase I focuses on reducing hazards, deterring illegal activity, and creating opportunities for future development
5. Major Projects
- Met with Rock Point Chapter: discussed sewer lagoon development, chapter facility updates, HVAC system, and road improvements including N353, N8070
- Met with Tsaile/Wheatfields Chapter: discussed dilapidated chapter house condition, electrical issues, heating needs
- Tsaile requested maintenance on N8078, N8079, and N8080; also discussed community cemetery, bathroom additions, youth center, and septic tank cleanouts
- NAPI food distributions at Mexican Water, Hard Rock, and Lupton: 50 lb potatoes, 20 lb pinto beans, 10 lb corn meal
- Upcoming food distributions: January 30 in Jeddito, January 31 at Pinedale Chapter
- Baahaalii Senior Center completed building extension construction; awaiting inspection from Office of Environmental Health and Protection Program
- New extension will include men and women shower rooms, laundry room, utility room, and storage room

- Highlighted Wells Fargo and AISES financial literacy program for high school students

- Features one- and two-bedroom apartments for hospital employees
