Description

In this 96th episode I take a moment to appreciate the common practice of "doing nothing" on New Years Day. This practice comes from folklore stating that what you do on New Years Day is what you will be doing for the rest of the coming new year. So taking this day to rest and relax bring in a notion that the coming year will also be restful and relaxing.

But why bring this effort to just one day of the year? In this episode I will discuss techniques that I personally use on a daily basis to offer my self micro-breaks from the hustle and bustle of my day. I also discuss ways to offer this to ourselves on a weekly basis, and how we can use a form of mindfulness meditation to disconnect and reinterpret how we experience our daily lives, thoughts and emotions.
