OK, we are broaching the topic of childhood trauma as this often comes up in my clarity calls and in working with my clients. It’s definitely becoming more common in life discussions. 

When a person experiences trauma, a certain part of their brain takes over that triggers the “fight or flight” response meant to protect us from danger. 

We can often hold trauma in and not talk about it or we can get stuck in a pattern and let it define us…but the emotions will catch up to us and resurface. 

Trauma isn't something you can just get over quickly— it requires patience and self-acceptance. You need to thoroughly process your emotions to overcome your trauma. A good place to start is by practicing emotional awareness and self-care.
