An amplifier and an igniter both walk into a room full of women dressed in white somewhere in New York. No, this isn’t a set up for a joke - but I think Kendra Thorpe and I both felt a little bit like we were being punked as we were separately walking into the room where we would ultimately meet.
Kendra is an igniter; she can see that piece within you that needs waking up. I’m an amplifier; not trying to change you, but just turning the dial up - whether you want to hear it, or not, because a lot of people aren’t ready to face that kind of truth. These gifts that we both have is part of what made us click instantly when we met. That, and Kendra’s awesome sense of humor.
Kendra is FUNNY - but she didn’t believe me when I told her that. So I kept telling her, and telling her, and telling her, because I knew that she needed to hear it. In Kendra’s own words, permission is already granted when you start activating the gift that you are.
In this episode we talk about the place of no effort, and how Kendra’s and mine connection was so natural that it felt effortless - even though she did (jokingly!) think I was a stalker at first. You need to create the environment you want to be around, and what you do - the person whose face you use outwardly - whether your role is doctor, or mother, or whatever, does not define you. What brings you joy, what lights you up, who you are on the inside - that’s who you really are. Kendra’s mission is to help women become their highest and best selves, and to stop them from waiting on an invitation to be who they are right now with elevated ease.
