Interestingly, I didn’t really “feel ready” to do this 2021 year-end reflection episode - because I take reflection super seriously, and I haven’t done my own personal reflection for this year yet. But that just goes to show that even within our lessons, there are lessons (not to go too “Inception-y” on you.) Truly, this whole year I didn’t feel ready to do the things that I did…but I did them anyway, and as a result I had to keep moving the endline on my personal and professional goals because I just kept achieving what I was setting out to do.
You might not ever feel ready to do anything, but that’s really the essential meaning of being human. You can do anything, but not everything. Going outside your comfort zone is obviously uncomfortable, but that’s where the change comes from. Having lived a previously logical life, this year I’ve been working on thinking less, and feeling and doing more. I am not a rational person anymore, because privileging rationality over what makes sense in your soul holds you back from the changes you need to be making to move forward. I’ve had so many adventures in the last year, and it all seemed “random” at the moment, but that’s just because you can’t see the big picture for your life while you’re living it. If you let it, the fear and anxiety of your conscious mind stops you from leaning into the feeling of your life path; but you know the truth because you feel it, and if you’re able to listen to your body you can learn to communicate with yourself better and to better know that truth feeling.
I’ve done so much healing this year in support of my life purpose, which is to help people discover the truth for themselves, and connect with their bodies - and I’ll be honing this more in 2022. Understanding your capacity, and knowing the difference between doing and being is something I talked about in
the last Teaching Thursday episode because all of the emotions you’re generating when you’re operating over capacity need to be expressed one way or another, and that can come through in your circumstances, environment, and your body - whether you want them to or not. Health is an inner game, and that’s what I want to leave you with from this year. Ask yourself, “Am I in alignment, mind, body, and spirit? If not, what is that doing to your capacity?” If you’re listening to this podcast, you’re clearly into growth and development - but you need to stay connected to the goal of transforming your life.
I want to help you go deeper with these lessons in your life, and that’ll be a focus for me in 2022. If you’re someone who is motivated to make changes and transform areas of your life with myself as your mentor and guide, I would be honoured to walk this journey with you.
