Description

Ashleigh and I have known each other for a few months, but every time we’re able to chat we always end up diving really deep about creativity, being a millennial woman - and money.

Ashleigh has some very strong opinions about money. There’s a lot to know when it comes to money, and it can be scary to start looking into it - but Ashleigh is a big advocate of making sure that you control your money, and not the other way around. From a young age, Ashleigh saw her parents make big ticket purchases - houses, cars - but she also saw a bunch of arguments, stress, and eventual bankruptcy. After a few years of frugal living and getting back on their feet through well-earned savings, however, Ashleigh saw her parents’ whole life, perspective, and mindset around money change completely. They were able to learn to live below their means, and to be empowered and excited about money. They were even able to do fun things like family vacations again - and that’s driven Ashleigh to figure out how money works, and how to make it work for her.

All of the insights she learnt from her parents have led her to today. Ashleigh’s advice is to think of “that girl” - picturing the best version of yourself, whether that means going for your daily run, or eating a salad for lunch, and thinking about how purchases will support you in getting to that level. For Ashleigh, there’s no shame or guilt in buying new running shoes for that run, or the food that fuels you in a healthy way - and if you do feel guilt about something, she says you need to ask yourself where the shame is coming from, and if it’s truly coming from yourself or something you might have learned somewhere else. You have to unlearn negative mindsets and get educated on these topics to help you be informed instead of just influenced by whatever else you’ve picked up along the way.

We naturally move away from pain, and towards pleasure. Being clear about what you want, and why you want it, will help you spend more intuitively and to be truly happy with your finances - as well as the things you’re spending your money on. You can get in the flow with money by inviting it in, welcoming it, and creating a home in yourself where that flow can live. Everyone is capable of making money if you can change your mindset around it!

Ashleigh’s Bio
With a background as an elementary school teacher and an online English teacher, I knew I was destined for bigger and better things. Exhausted and unfulfilled from all of the hard work I was doing as a teacher during the day, I knew there had to be more out there for me! Seeing my husband, friends and mentors create businesses for themselves as entrepreneurs- I knew I had to go all in and make my dream of owning my own business a reality. I wanted to work the hours that fit my lifestyle, collaborate with dream clients that I deeply connect with, while also gaining financial freedom and creating generational wealth for my family in the future. I am on a mission to help others shift their mindset of what’s possible for them by showing them how to build a business and build wealth at the same time!
