Rest isn't earned and it isn't a luxury, it's a necessity...

In this episode, I share my personal battle with taking days off from the gym and how I have healed my relationship with exercise. Ever since quitting college soccer, I have felt guilty and punished myself by pushing my body to its limits every single day in the gym. I ignored my body's signals for rest and recovery and it took a serious health scare to get me to change my ways and reevaluate what I was doing.

I have worked hard to fight back against my disordered thoughts regarding exercise and food take back control. However, I didn't do it alone, and you don't have to either. The reality is, no one is immune to burnout and allowing yourself to rest is the only way to make progress in all aspects of life.
