"Luke Jacobs, Take a Fuckin' Bow, Lad!"

Episode three of MXL Live Journal sees Dave and New Tim Horton's Mug Owner Iwan reporting on Revolution Pro Wrestling's first foray in Birmingham in many years.

The main event of this rather loaded card pitted former British Heavyweight Champion vs. former British Cruiserweight Champion, as The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, battled North West Strong's Luke Jacobs... and trust us, it was a BATTLE.

Other highlights of this seven-match bill saw a cracking cruiserweight encounter which saw one of the best junior heavyweights in the world (Dave's actual words) in Francesco Akira square off with the Little Shitwolf, Kid Lykos II.

Also, we witnessed a heavyweight clash as Gabriel Kidd took on Michael Oku, and this was an absolute war well worth catching on the old demand gimmick.

And in the sole title bout of the show, Southside Women's Champion Dani Luna, not one to turn down a challenge, defended her championship against Spain's Maria de la Rosa in a match that could go down as one of the finest bouts in RevPro's women's division for a while.

Rounding out the card was Italian tandem BBB: Mirko Mori and Nico Inverardi, in action against The Legion, Zak Knight taking on Yota Tsuji in a battle of proper hard lads, and British Tag Team Champions, The Greedy Souls in non-title action as they gave the debuting Act Two a baptism of fire in the opener!

Non-wrestling subjects include: Birmingham itself, Tim Hortons, German Doner Kebab, meeting up with some of the locals, and a very unique entry into "Iwan and Dave's Good Deed for the Day..."

Well worth a listen as always for the craic and the rabbit holes as well...

Live to Tape on the 20:17 from Birmingham Moor St. to Marylebone: Sunday February 26th 2023.
