On this edition of MXL, we may very well have surpassed our own expectations!
Iwan is joined by arguably the pre-eminent promoter in British Wrestling today, as he is joined by Revolution Pro Wresting's Andy Quildan.
RevPro's 11th Anniversary Show is just a couple of weeks away, and eminates from the Copper Box Arena, taking place 11 years to the day since their debut event in Sittingbourne. The show, main evented by Will Ospreay vs. Shingo Takagi in an on-paper Match of the Year candidate, has become a can't miss port-of-call for BritWres followers on All In Weekend, and is not short on ambition or the quality of the card, with RevPro's motto of "Pro Wrestling At Its Best" at the heart of this card that sets out to be a statement of intent for what British Wrestling can truly achieve on August 26th.
Iwan and Andy discuss some of the feature matches on the Anniversary Show, prominent members of the RevPro roster and the promotion's incredible journey in the last three years, through COVID and the empty arena "Epic Encounter" shows, to relaunching in the summer of 2021, to their present day.
And since it's Iwan and Andy, there may even be some talk about such mutual likes such as Bret Hart and Arsenal...
We at MXL would like to thank Andy for giving us his time, he's earned a reputation as not only a matchmaker with a thumb on the pulse of his audience, but also one of the most accessible and honest promoters on the scene. This was a great chat, and we hope you enjoy listening to it!
Recorded via Skype on the evening of Wednesday August 9th 2023.
