WELL, THAT WEEKEND WAS QUALITY, INNIT...
Iwan and Dave are back having recovered from no less than SEVEN shows in five days each, all part and parcel of All In Weekend!
And the lads discuss the shows in question (timestamps in brackets):
ALL IN: THE FINAL COUNTDOWN (00:00)
- The epic event at Wembley Stadium gets the deep-dive treatment, with no less than four enjoyable matches, a 2024 MOTY candidate, and no less than THIRTY WRESTLERS on the Zero Hour alone! (00:00)
COPPA 2: REVPRO BOOGALOO (56:02)
- Revolution Pro Wrestling had their 12th birthday on Saturday, and in front of nearly 4,000 at the Copper Box, we witnessed FOUR new champions crowned, new possibilities in all corners of RevPro, one of the best women's matches seen in the company with the wild Cut Throat Collective vs Team RevPro tag match, and so much more! (56:02)
THE INDIES - BACK AND FORTH (1:45:11)
- We start with Pro Wrestling Ceasefire on Thursday, with an incredible Jordon Breaks vs Kanji match well worth watching, plus it was all for a great cause.
- Next, Riot Cabaret "All Singing, All Dancing" on Friday (1:54:23) featuring the rise of Subculture to the top, a bonus match that delivered, and the damnedest Falls Count Anywhere match seen in BritWres!
- Dave discusses his foray to EVE x TJPW at Conway Hall, Holborn (2:10:02), featuring a war of a main event between Nina Samuels and Miyu Yamashita, the legendary Aja Kong in action on UK soil for the first time since 2018, and three TJPW wrestlers impressing on their UK debuts!
- Iwan attended ATTACK Pro Wrestling as part of ALL CAPS, ALL DAY (2:21:47) featuring a Connor Mills vs Jay Joshua match that makes the Recommended list, plus EVIL UNO in action too, and much more. Iwan also talks about the GRAPPL Live podcast at Hackney Bridge in brief as well.
- On the Sunday lunchtime, Genesis Professional Wrestling held a show at the Green Man in Wembley (2:39:37), very much the Monty Python show of the weekend ("and now for something completely different..."). The lads review a unique taste of PUB GRAPS.
- Finally, Monday saw PROGRESS Chapter 170 (2:46:30) wrap up the show with the return bout between Luke Jacobs and Kid Lykos for the PROGRESS World Title, KENTA in action against RKJ, a really good Trios match in the women's division, plus more.
A hell of a weekend, and a lot to talk about - nearly THREE HOURS worth. No wonder we did three separate podcasts last year!
- Wrap-Up and Plugs: 2:57:23
Recorded in the StreamYard Theatre on the evening of Thursday 29th August 2024.
