Ghiotto is a decorated member of the Air Force Judge Advocate's office, having been stationed at the Pentagon, and Aviano NATO base in Italy, deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, and served as the SJA at Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas. While continuing to serve as a member of the Air Force Reserves, Professor Ghiotto is the Director of The Anderson Center for Advocacy and Professionalism at the University of Illinois College of Law.

Professor Ghiotto discusses his views on advocacy and his approach to teaching young lawyers, airmen and women, and law students in the varied forms of advocacy and the different methods he has employed over his time as an advocate.
