Welcome to Element City! All are welcome here, but only some are actually able to enjoy it.
This 2023 movie was pushed under the rug by most. Part of that is due to the release timing, it hit theaters right when the SAG-AFTRA strike started, and part of that was due to the marketing that was done. For a movie that discusses really important themes like assimilation, immigration, race, and class in an accessible way for children, it was marketed as a star crossed lovers story. And while there is an element (you see what we did there) of romance to the overall plot, this movie is about so much more.
