Description

Last week we discussed the merits of the criticisms lobbed at Tartt's The Goldfinch, the chief of which was that this was not real Literature. This week we argue the opposite: James and Eyad offer two ways of reading the book and we cap off our discussion with Donna Tartt's views about how religion can influence fiction.
This is the second book of our Bad Adaptation series where we read good books turned into bad movies.  You can find Ballard's High-Rise, the first book of our series in our archives.  Next week we will continue with Faulkner's As I Lay Dying.
